# Wicked  ## Plot Elphaba, a misunderstood young woman because of her green skin, and Galinda, a popular girl, become friends at Shiz University in the Land of Oz. After an encounter with the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads. ## Review Really enjoyable film. I'm not familiar with the book or the musical, but given that my partner is a music theater actor, I knew we'd have to make time for this ~3 hour film at sometime, and I suspected I would appreciate it. Truly stunning vocal performances all around, but in particular from Cynthia Erivo, very funny charachter acting from Ariana. There are some very important allegorical threads coming together at a time when it's very obvious that we need to keep telling these stories loudly. Also, don't fuck with the animals, my guys.
