# How do we live resiliently? #questions/resilience · #fitness · #politics · #ecology ^771528 ## Why am I asking this now? This question emerged at the intersection of several life threads I've been following organically recently. - Several projects in which I'm designing or working in physical spaces and directly engaged in thinking about longevity and climate resilience. - Thinking through how to age gracefully, specifically through the lens of my training, and how the habits and principles I adopt now will form the basis of my opportunity to live happily, healthily, and physically able to do the things I love. - Finding my own way through a political and social moment that demands clarity and emotional fortitude. I've been returning to this as a core line of inquiry—how do we navigate this uncertainty with eyes wide open? I'm interested in a broad line of inquiry that helps me integrate responses to multiple forms of pressure—ecological, physiological, emotional—into a coherent philosophy. Thinking about how to live well in uncertain times with resilience as a grounding practice. ^6e13aa ## Working language | Frame | Position | | ---------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Tension | How do we remain open and joyful in the face of ecological, social, and emotional pressures? | | Hypothesis | That resilience is a generative orientation—an embodied, joyful practice of adapting to uncertainty without succumbing to cynicism or collapse. | | Challenge | To design lives, habits, and environments that allow us to live meaningfully and healthily through ongoing instability—physically, emotionally, and ecologically. | ^working-language ## Current Thinking
