# May 12, 2025 | Lightning round [[250429 - Tower Tamin'|↶ Last Session]] • [[Icewind Dale Booze Cruise| Campaign Home ↝]] > [!Summary]+ meta > **Role Call**: [[Galath]] • [[Gray]] • [[Zeno]] • [[Strath]] • [[Broski]] > **Where We Are**: [[Ytheryn]] > **Tagline**: These balls are electric. ## This Session ^session-summary ### Session Log #### A-nothic Dimension We encounter a nothic, and through [[Professor Skant]], engage in dialogue. - He does not wish to die, used to serve the [[Archwizard]], mostly wants to get back to not being an abomination - The discussion triggers some existential questioning amongst the group on how to proceed - [[Strath]] tries (AUTISTICALLY) to herd the cats. Tries to make sure everyone is on the same page on how to proceed, including a sad attempt at intimidating [[Vellynne Harpell]] into falling in line - Ask the nothic for some direction on safe passage, and seems to be pointing at a particular tower saying "I forgot the words" and starts babbling about all the schools of magic - We think we should go there, but [[Galath]] says spidey-sense says no - We decide to make our way to the outer towers to develop some situational awareness instead. - [[Gray]] and [[Broski]] have a small battle of wills about killing the nothic, for which Gray prevail #### They say what now? As we decide where to head now, [[Galath]] makes some strange remarks that [[Strath]] catches. - TURNS OUT [[Galath]] has been hearing voices for quite some time. He says they're [[Drizzt Do'Urden]]. It's been going on for A YEAR. - [[Strath]] is incredulous, doesn't believe, digs deeper. Finally accepts. - [[Professor Skant]] starts babbling about lightning ball or some shit, so [[Strath]] conjures a tuning fork and heads into the arena to bang that lightning tower. #### LIGHTNING BALL We trigger a round of the ol lightning ball game, which we win, thanks to [[Galath]]'s incredible athletic prowess. #### Abjuration station Maddeningly, we decide to make our way to the medium towers anyway (since we can't trust the vocies). - [[Zeno]] and [[Strath]] notice that the tower, while covered in glyphs, is clearly marked by the sign for Abjuration - [[Strath]] says, "isn't that what the nothic was babbling about" - [[Zeno]] does a deeper investigation, notices a ward of insanity - [[Gray]] casts *Dispel Magic* and [[Galath]] (kind of insane already) walks in, to no additional ill effect. - Inside the tower we see a large hammer and anvil with glyphs all over them, armed men surrounding them, and a frozen wizard covered in rubble. We feel a presence in our head that says "come, bring your magical items." - [[Strath]] immediately launches into a monologue, diatribe even about the nature of magic? - [[Zeno]] decides to bring his wand of web forward to hit with the anvil, the armed men pivot and pay attention. [[Strath]] tries to stop him, sort of, but for science.
