We head east to the populated area
- find a tower with a spinny bit

- we observe a group of people running across the ice bridge, and heading into the area to the west
- Vellyn says, "maybe it's another of the brotherhood, avarice is still alive. if that's her, we have competition."
- (she's the one who killed us a long time ago)

We make our way west, to the next tower
- transmutation tower
- looking for the words we need, discover them right away
- [[Professor Skant]] reads the inscription for us, there's a missing word
- also discover a lady of adamantine embedded in the wall
- we send [[Brosef]] into the area, made invisible by [[Vellynne Harpell]]
- no dice finding the missing word, we all pile in
- [[Strath]] investigates the body, definitely a mage who was transmuted
- Investigates the inscription, recalls belatedly that the mending cantrip is in arsenal
- "Eight, stand firm in thy circle of death and consume poison."
- We deface the words and take pieces with us such that interlopers can't get the words
Next tower:
An obsidian tower shrouded in gossamer mist soars before you. Eyes carved into the stonework appear to fixate on you as you approach the entrance. The spire's highest window emits a purple light.
