## Profile
Provost of Applied Thaumaturgy at Morgrave University. The party knows him only through Daela's references — he's Daela's superior, and Daela needs to "brief the Provost" after the E15 revelations. He coined the term "Convergence Manifesto." The party has never met him in person.
## Reputation
Brilliant, prolific, well-funded. Within Morgrave, he's respected but slightly feared — the kind of academic who attracts massive grants and publishes constantly but whose lab is off-limits to visitors. Has been corresponding with researchers at Arcanix about pre-war convergence data.
## What the Party Knows (through E15)
- Name-dropped by Daela in E12. Provost of Applied Thaumaturgy.
- Coined the term "Convergence Manifesto" — initially as a research paper title.
- Daela's boss. Daela needs to "brief the Provost" after E15's revelations.
## Current Status
Not yet met in person. First appearance planned for Act 1 climax (E20-21, §1.11).

## DM Only
- Faurious is the architect behind the convergence artifact collection. Every mission the party has run has been feeding his research. He's not a villain in the traditional sense — he's an obsessed researcher who genuinely believes understanding convergence could explain (or reverse) the Mourning.
- His first in-person appearance should feel like a TED talk, not a villain speech. He's excited, not threatening. That's what makes him dangerous.
- Daela is his warm front-end. Daela may not know the full scope of what Faurious is building.
- The machine at Morgrave is his project. The partially assembled device is amplifying aberrant mark manifestations as a side effect. Open question: does he know this?
- Has Arcanix correspondence — Kouneli's name could surface through routine academic networking. This is the exposure mechanism for Kouneli's debt thread.
- Haras Kant is his financial proxy. Open question: is Kant a knowing accomplice or a useful idiot?
- Clifftop leadership is taking his money without asking questions. Open question: complicit or ignorant?
- Open question: Is Faurious a tragic obsessive, a knowing villain, or something in between? Decide before §1.11.
