## Profile
Yadha-Ro is a twelve-foot-tall ettin and Daask's primary enforcer for the Ashblack and Blackbones districts of the Cogs. She has held this territory for three years. Every forge operator, tavern keeper, and pit boss in the lower Cogs knows the sound of her two clubs hitting the ground in alternating rhythm.
Her skin is the colour of forge slag — grey-brown and pitted with old scars. Both heads wear their hair in thick, tangled braids blackened by years of Cogs soot, threaded through with copper wire and small animal bones. She wears a patchwork harness of boiled leather and chain links across her torso, no uniform or insignia — just a faded Daask brand burned into the leather over her left breast. A satchel hangs from the harness, perpetually bulging with collected debts.
Her left arm is flesh — enormous, corded with muscle. Her right arm is a crude **iron prosthetic** forged in the Cogs after she lost the original during Droaam's consolidation. Riveted plates, exposed joints, no attempt at aesthetics. It doesn't move as fluidly as the real one, but it doesn't need to. It just needs to swing.
## The Two Heads
**Yadha (left)** is the bigger head. Broad jaw, heavy brow, a face built for shouting. Her teeth are visible even with her mouth closed — lower canines jutting upward like tusks. Small, dark, furious eyes. She's already angry before she's said a word. Yadha is the muscle: she speaks first, speaks loudest, and defaults to violence when bored. She respects strength and directness. Flattery bounces off her. Weakness disgusts her. If someone stands up to her physically or verbally without flinching, she'll listen — not because she agrees, but because she's briefly entertained.
**Ro (right)** is the narrower head. Sharper features, one milky eye (the left, lost in Droaam), the other a pale yellow that tracks everything in the room with unsettling precision. Where Yadha looks like she wants to hit something, Ro looks like she's already calculating what it's worth. Ro is the brain: she speaks second, speaks less, and watches everything. She has a head for numbers, leverage, and the long game. She knows the Cogs economy better than most people who live here — who owes what, who's producing, who's falling behind. She's not cruel for fun. She's cruel because it's efficient.
## Reputation
Yadha-Ro is not subtle and not meant to be. She is the visible fist of Daask's protection racket in the industrial Cogs. She answers to someone higher up the chain — **Cavallah**, an oni scholar who leads the Sharn chapter of Daask — but most people in Ashblack and Blackbones only ever deal with Yadha-Ro. That's by design. Cavallah thinks; Yadha-Ro collects.
She is feared but not hated in the way a random thug would be. She's consistent — pay on time, no problems. Refuse or fall behind, and she arrives. The Cogs understand transactional violence. What they don't forgive is unpredictability, and Yadha-Ro is nothing if not predictable.
## Relationship to the Party
The party encountered Yadha-Ro at Drummond Independents when she arrived to collect on Drummond's overdue protection payments. The forge was already dead — the party had just extracted the Fernia planar focus that powered it. How the encounter resolved (combat, diplomacy, or flight) determines how Daask views the party going forward.
Regardless of outcome, Yadha-Ro remembers faces. Daask remembers debts. This is not the last time.
## Known Traits
- Yadha talks over people; Ro finishes sentences
- They bicker constantly — reflexive sniping, not hostile, the rhythm of two people sharing a body with very different opinions about everything
- Yadha responds to **strength and directness**
- Ro responds to **cunning and information**
- The prosthetic arm is Cogs-forged — she depends on the local industry even as she extorts it
- She targets the most valuable-looking thing in a fight (or the person carrying it)

## DM Only
## Running Yadha-Ro at the Table
The key to this NPC is that she's threatening *and* entertaining. The two heads disagree in real time. Yadha wants to smash; Ro wants to negotiate (or at least calculate whether smashing is profitable). Play the bickering for laughs — then have her swing for 2d8+5 to remind the table that funny doesn't mean safe.
Voice differentiation: Yadha is loud, blunt, short sentences. Ro is quieter, measured, longer sentences with a dry edge. Yadha interrupts Ro. Ro corrects Yadha.
- Yadha-Ro seeds the Daask thread for Act 2, where the crime syndicate's interest in manifest zone activity and artifact trafficking becomes a larger plot element
- Her superior, Cavallah, is an oni scholar — a thinker, not a bruiser — and represents Daask's strategic interest in the convergence phenomenon
- If the party made enemies of her, she'll be back with reinforcements. If they talked their way out, Ro remembers them as useful — which might be worse
